What Is Chiropractic Care?
Chiropractic care focuses on the relationship between your spine and your nervous system. Your spine protects your spinal cord, which carries signals from your brain to every part of your body. When vertebrae shift out of alignment, those signals can get disrupted. This leads to pain, stiffness, reduced mobility, and other health problems that affect your daily life.
A chiropractor uses controlled, hands-on adjustments to move those vertebrae back into their proper position. This restores nerve function, reduces inflammation, and allows your body to heal on its own without drugs or surgery. Millions of Americans visit a chiropractor every year, making it one of the most popular forms of natural healthcare in the country.
How Chiropractic Adjustments Work
During a chiropractic adjustment, Dr. Bria Spree applies a quick, precise force to a specific joint in your spine. You may hear a popping sound, which is simply gas being released from the joint. Most patients feel immediate relief, though some conditions take a series of visits to fully resolve.
Each visit starts with an evaluation. Dr. Spree checks your posture, range of motion, and spinal alignment. If X-rays are needed, we take them in-office. From there, she builds a treatment plan that fits your condition and your schedule. No two patients get the same plan because no two spines are the same.
Adjustments are gentle and safe for people of all ages. We treat infants, children, adults, pregnant women, and seniors. Whether you’re dealing with a recent injury or a chronic problem that’s been building for years, chiropractic adjustments can help your body start recovering.
Conditions Chiropractic Care Can Help
Chiropractic is often associated with back pain, and for good reason. It’s one of the most effective treatments available. But the benefits go well beyond your back. At Saint Paul Chiropractic, we regularly treat patients dealing with:
- Lower back pain and upper back pain
- Neck pain and stiffness
- Headaches and migraines
- Sciatica and leg pain
- Pinched nerves
- Herniated and bulging discs
- Shoulder pain and frozen shoulder
- Whiplash and auto accident injuries
- Sports injuries and repetitive strain
- Work-related injuries
- Pregnancy-related discomfort
- Infant colic
Many patients come to us after trying medication, physical therapy, or other treatments that didn’t provide lasting results. Chiropractic works differently because it addresses the root cause of your pain rather than covering up the symptoms.
Even if you don’t see your exact problem on this list, give us a call. The nervous system affects nearly every function in your body. If something feels off, there’s a good chance a spinal issue is part of the picture.
Benefits of Regular Chiropractic Care
Chiropractic isn’t only for people in pain. Many of our St. Paul patients schedule regular adjustments as part of their overall wellness routine. When your spine is properly aligned, your nervous system works more efficiently. That affects everything from your energy levels to your immune response.
Think of it like getting your car aligned. You don’t wait until the tires are bald. You stay on top of it so the whole system runs smoothly. Chiropractic maintenance works the same way for your body.
Pain Relief
Reduce or eliminate back pain, neck pain, headaches, and joint discomfort without medication.
Better Mobility
Restore your range of motion so you can move freely and stay active at any age.
Improved Nerve Function
Clear nerve interference so your brain communicates with your body the way it should.
What to Expect at Your First Visit
Your first appointment at St. Paul Chiropractic typically takes about 45 minutes. Dr. Bria Spree will sit down with you to discuss your health history, your current symptoms, and your goals. She’ll perform a physical exam that includes checking your posture, spinal alignment, and range of motion.
If X-rays are needed, we take them right here in our office. Once Dr. Spree has a clear picture of what’s going on, she’ll explain her findings and walk you through a recommended treatment plan. Most new patients receive their first adjustment on the same day.
New patients pay just $79 for their exam, X-rays, and first adjustment. We accept most insurance plans and make it easy to get started. Our office is located at 1575 7th St W in St. Paul, MN, and we offer flexible scheduling throughout the week.
Why St. Paul Trusts Our Chiropractic Office
St. Paul Chiropractic has been serving the community since 1961. That’s over 60 years of helping families in the Twin Cities area live healthier, more active lives. Dr. Bria Spree continues that tradition by combining proven chiropractic techniques with a genuine focus on each patient’s well-being.
We take a whole-person approach to health. That means we don’t just look at where it hurts. We look at your posture, your daily habits, your work environment, and your overall lifestyle. Dr. Spree focuses on five essentials: nervous system function, nutrition, mindset, oxygen and exercise, and reducing toxins. This approach gives you the tools to stay healthy long after your pain is gone.
Our patients include construction workers, office employees, student athletes, new mothers, and retirees. If you have a spine, we can help. And if you’ve never been to a chiropractor before, you’ll find that the experience is simpler and more comfortable than you might expect.
We’re located at 1575 7th St W in St. Paul, just minutes from downtown, West 7th, and the surrounding neighborhoods. Appointments are available throughout the week, and we do our best to get new patients in quickly. Call (651) 228-1156 or use our online scheduler to book your first visit.
