Computerized Radiographic Mensuration Analysis, or CRMA for short, objectively and accurately determines the severity and location of spinal ligament injuries that may otherwise go undiagnosed.

Let us explain the value of CRMA. The x-rays you see are of a patient that was injured in a rear-end collision and were read by a board-certified medical radiologist. The radiologist concluded the following:

"Mildly excessive posterior translation at C4-5 on neck extension"

These same films were sent for CRMA evaluation and the computerized analysis revealed:

"Loss of motion integrity at C4 of 5.09 mm yielding a permanent impairment rating of 25% whole person according to the AMA Guides to the Evaluation of Permanent Impairment."

There is an astonishing difference between "mildly excessive posterior translation" and "loss of motion integrity". The radiologist essentially missed a clinical instability of the neck and a permanent impairment that CRMA found using the same x-rays. As you can see, CRMA is invaluable to properly diagnose spinal ligament injuries.

We use state-of-the-art digital x-ray and computerized radiographic mensuration analysis for all our injury patients to either confirm or rule out injuries to the spinal ligaments.

For an in-depth explanation on CRMA, please view the following video from Spinal Kinetics. Spinal Kinetics is the leader in this technology and we use them exclusively for CRMA testing.
